Loyalty Programme Terms
TapBerry · Effective 16 Aug 2026
These apply when you add a shop's loyalty card to your phone. The shop decides the rewards and honours them. TapBerry provides the card and keeps the count.
1. Joining
You join by filling in the shop's form and adding the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. There is no app to download and no account to create — the card is the membership. You never set a password with us, because there is nothing to log in to.
You give a name and a mobile number. Some shops also ask for an email or a birthday; those are optional unless the shop says otherwise.
2. Stamps, points and rewards
- A member of the shop's staff adds a stamp or points when you visit. It appears on your card within seconds.
- The reward, and what it takes to earn it, are set by the shop and shown on the back of your card. If the shop changes them, your existing balance is not reduced.
- Stamps and rewards have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred, and cannot be exchanged for money.
- If a stamp was given in error, staff can undo it within a short window. Every change is recorded against the staff member who made it, so a dispute can always be answered.
- Where the shop has set an expiry, it is stated on the back of your card, and you are warned before anything expires.
3. Messages
The shop can send you messages about the programme — a reward waiting, an offer, a change of hours. These arrive as a notification on the card, not as SMS or email.
There are caps on how often a shop can message you, and the rules a shop must follow are in the Acceptable Use Policy. If you want the messages to stop, remove the card from your phone — that is instant and complete.
4. Who is responsible for what
The shop runs the programme, sets the rewards, and honours them. If a reward is refused or the shop closes, that is between you and the shop.
TapBerry provides the card, the counter scanner and the record of your balance. If the card stops updating or your balance looks wrong, that is ours to fix — tell us at support and we will look at the ledger.
If the shop stops using TapBerry, we send one final message telling you the programme has ended, so you are not left holding a card you think still works.
5. Your data
What we hold and why is in the Privacy Policy. The short version: your name, your mobile number, your balance and your visit dates. No location, no purchase contents, no advertising trackers, and never shared with another shop.
To get a copy of your data or have it deleted, use Access or Delete Your Data. It costs nothing and you do not need to explain why.
6. Leaving
Remove the card from Apple Wallet or Google Wallet and you are out. Messages stop immediately. If you also want your history at the shop erased, ask us — removing the pass alone does not do that.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
